Laser Direct Imaging Material and process developments for next Generation Integrated Chipless RFID

The project aims at development new materials (e.g. photo imageable pastes) and processes for high-precision LTCC technology relying on laser direct imaging. The project will enable new possibilities for EU industry within the future generation chipless and battery less radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags that can: operate in millimetre wave (mmW) radio frequencies (RF), provide identification with simultaneous (precise) localization capabilities, and be read by commercially available 24 GHz and 77 GHz automotive radars that will be one of the key block of future autonomous vehicles. The project will enable Gdansk Tech development of new original mm wave retrodictive antenna designs and circuits that can be produced using using the LTCC technology, which will be integrated with microwave circuits that will code RFID tag's ID. As project output, high IF scientific publications are planned as well as a patent application.
