FIDELIS: Establishing A European Network of Trustworthy Digital Repositories

The FIDELIS project aims to establish a network of trusted research data repositories that will support open science principles and ensure data sharing by FAIR principles. Over three years, FIDELIS will create, develop, and enable the management of a European network that fosters the growth of repositories within the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) ecosystem. Additionally, the project will enhance harmonization and interoperability among repositories, facilitating their federation within EOSC, and will strengthen their capabilities through an active training and mentoring program. The Gdańsk University of Technology will participate in Task WP8 - Repository Training and Support: Initiating Network Cohesion and Expansion; WP9 - Repository training and support: Strengthening the Network; WP10 - Repository training and support: Consolidating the Network. PG will be responsible for identifying the support and training needs of research data repositories in Europe, collaborating with relevant initiatives for repository support and training, and developing and testing a training and mentoring system for repositories. Participation in the FIDELIS project will bring Gdańsk University of Technology several strategic benefits, enhancing its position in open science within Europe and providing support for managing and sharing research data. Additionally, the project promotes transparency and scientific collaboration, with Gdańsk University of Technology contributing to creating, developing, and managing a European network of trusted repositories, thus contributing to the growth and development of repositories within the EOSC ecosystem.
