Innovators for the Future

The aim of the project is to develop and conduct the Intensive International Education Program (IMPK) in the blended learning formula, addressed to students of foreign universities. The aim of the course will be to prepare participants to create and implement innovative solutions in the changing world of VUCA based on self-organizing virtual teams. The Design Thinking and Business Canvas approach will be used as a teaching framework, covering issues such as generating ideas creatively, creating a business plan and promoting ideas. Most of the tasks will be carried out in teams, which will allow participants to develop cooperation, communication and presentation skills, and partly also in the form of remote meetings, which will also be an opportunity to expand the experience of working in international virtual teams. During the course, participants will learn and use agile methodologies (SCRUM). The theoretical part will be fully adapted to conducting it remotely, using techniques ensuring synchronous interaction and it will precede the practical part, which will be stationary. Both within the remote and the stationary module, classes will be held with the use of interactive forms of transferring and verifying knowledge. The program of one edition of the IMPK consists of three thematic blocks: 1) Building self-organizing, effective, international virtual teams; 2) Creative creation of innovative solutions; 3) Agile and adaptive implementation of innovative solutions (60 hours in total) and will also include elements popularizing Polish culture. Four editions of the program will be organized (May and September 2022 and May and June 2023), with a total of 80 foreign students. The implementation of the project will contribute not only to the improvement of the GUT didactic offer as a result of the development of a new English-language program of classes conducted in the blended learning formula, carried out with the use of the latest didactic tools, but will also fit well into the internationalization process of the university. Activities related to recruitment to the program conducted at foreign universities and the participation of foreign students in classes may be of significant importance in terms of promoting GUT on the international educational market, enabling the establishment of new contacts and may contribute to consolidating its image as a modern university offering attractive educational programs.
