Measurement of mass flow of viscous liquid through a Cylindrical Orifice under laminar flow

The aim of the project is to determine the oil flow coefficient through the prototype cylindrical orifice and to determine the flow characteristics at different viscosity values for Reynolds numbers lower than 2300. The results of the analysis of the operating principle and the characteristic parameters of the cylindrical orifice allow for a hypothesis that it is possible to experimentally determine the flow characteristics for this orifice in oil hydraulic system in terms of laminar flow and flow coefficient. The research project concerns a single scientific research trip to the CALISIA UNIVERSITY. The rationale for the research trip is the possibility of using an appropriately equipped test stand in a research unit with which the author of the application has been carrying out scientific projects regarding research on the properties of measuring orifices for several years.
