Lifetime extension of high chromium ferritic porous alloys by application of ultra-thin aluminium oxide coatings
The project concerns extension of the lifetime of metallic porous alloys by deposition of thin alumina layers by ALD process. The hypothesis states, that the addition of the alumina will slow down the diffusion of the oxygen at grain boundaries and extend the lifetime. The project will ensure further progression of the PhD candidate.
