Application of the tetraphenylphosphonium tetraphenylborate (TPTB) assumption to the thermodynamic properties of solvated ions in dimethylsulfoxide
Uzyskane...

Communication: Inside the water wheel: Intrinsic differences between hydrated tetraphenylphosphonium and tetraphenylborate ions
PublicationTetraphenylphosphonium tetraphenylborate (TPTB) is a common reference electrolyte in physical chemistry of solutions allowing for a convenient partitioning of thermodynamic properties into single-ion contributions. Here, we compute on the basis of ab initio molecular dynamics simulations the infrared (IR) spectra for hydrated constituent ions of the TPTB assumption. Using spectral decomposition techniques, we extract important...

Apparent molar volumes and compressibilities of selected electrolytes in dimethylsulfoxide
PublicationDensities at T = (293.15, 298.15, 303.15, 313.15, 323.15, and 333.15) K and sound velocities at T = 298.15 K of tetraphenylphosphonium bromide, sodium tetraphenylborate, sodium bromide, and sodium perchlorate in dimethylsulfoxide have been measured over the composition range from (0 to 0.3) mol kg1. From these data, apparent molar volumes and apparent molar isentropic compressibilitiesat infinite dilution as well as the expansibilities...

Apparent molar volumes, expansibilities, and isentropic compressibilities of selected electrolytes in methanol
PublicationDensities of solutions of sodium bromide, sodium perchlorate, sodium tetraphenylborate, and tetraphenylphosphonium bromide in methanol at the temperatures ranging from 283.15 to 313.15 K have been measured. Ultrasound velocities for the above systems at T = 298.15 K have been determined. From the obtained data, the partial molar volumes and the partial molar isentropic compressibilities for electrolytes in solution have been estimated....
