Virulence gene profiles in Staphylococcus aureus isolated from cows with subclinical mastitis in eastern Poland
PublicationStaphylococcus aureus is arguably the most important pathogen involved in bovine mastitis. The aim of this study was to determine the virulence gene profiles of 124 Staph. aureus isolates from subclinical mastitis in cows in eastern Poland. The presence of 30 virulence genes encoding adhesins, proteases and superantigenic toxins was investigated by PCR. The 17 different combinations of adhesin genes were identified. Occurrence...

Set of Experience and Decisional DNA: Experience-Based Knowledge Structures
PublicationThis chapter presents a description of Set of Experience Knowledge Structure (SOEKS) and Decisional DNA (DDNA), argumentation for a knowledge representation, composition, configuration and metrics. SOEKS is a combination of filtered and amalgamated information obtained from formal decision events. It facilitates effective explicit representation of decisional experience taken from different technologies. SOEKS comprises variables,...

Set of Experience Knowledge Structure (SOEKS) and Decisional DNA (DDNA): Past, Present and Future
PublicationThis article reviews research work on set of experience knowledge structure (SOEKS)-decisional DNA (DDNA) done in the past, ongoing, and planned for the future. Firstly, the concept of the knowledge representation technique of SOEKS-DDNA is discussed, and then an attempt is made to organize the past research related with it in chronological order. This work focuses on the review on SOEKS-DDNA, its application in different domains,...

Support Product Development Framework by Means of Set of Experience Knowledge Structure (SOEKS) and Decisional DNA
PublicationIn this paper, we propose a framework to support product development activi-ties by utilizing Set of Experience Knowledge Structure (SOEKS) and Decisional DNA (DDNA). This idea will provide a new direction to researchers working on product development, especially designers and manufacturers. They will be working on the same platform and this will be reducing their communication gap. Once the final idea is perceived about product...

Sequences of large subunit ribosomal RNA gene, partial sequence encoding D1/D2 domain of psychrotolerant pigment-producing yeast-like fungi
Open Research DataDNA fragments encoding D1/D2 domain of large subunit ribosomal RNA of psychrotolerant pigment-producing yeast-like fungi named Red, Pink and Black were PCR amplified using NL1 5’ GCATATCAATAAGCGGAGGAAAAG 3’ and NL4 5’ GGTCCGTGTTTCAAGACGG 3’ primers and sequenced by Sanger method using the same primers.

Open-Set Speaker Identification Using Closed-Set Pretrained Embeddings
PublicationThe paper proposes an approach for extending deep neural networks-based solutions to closed-set speaker identification toward the open-set problem. The idea is built on the characteristics of deep neural networks trained for the classification tasks, where there is a layer consisting of a set of deep features extracted from the analyzed inputs. By extracting this vector and performing anomaly detection against the set of known...
