Erasmus+
The Gdańsk University of Technology Library has been participating in the Erasmus+ program since 2011. Mobility projects implemented in the Gdańsk University of Technology Library include activities involving the implementation of foreign training trips in the so-called internship destinations in the signatory countries of the program, implementing training programs for foreign librarians at the Gdańsk Tech Library, preparing a training offer for students of library and information science from foreign academic centers, undertaking activities in the field of international interinstitutional cooperation.
The main goal of the Gdańsk Tech Library's participation in the Erasmus+ program is broadly understood professional development, the result of which is not only the acquisition of new competences, but also obtaining added value visible in the acquisition of new experiences and personal skills of program participants, which have a real impact on improving the standards of services offered in the library.
The scope of activities includes four types of projects:
- Erasmus+ staff mobility for training abroad
- Erasmus+ staff mobility for training at Gdańsk Tech Library
- Erasmus+ student mobility for traineeship
