Application and audience

The obtained material is used in the production of thermocouples (temperature sensors) or Peltier modules (refrigerators, thermostats for aquaria, tissue transport) as a layer dividing the metal electrodes.

  • Gas furnace manufacturers;
  • Manufacturers of thermostats for aquaria.

Innovative aspects and main features

  • High electrical conductivity – S/cm;
  • Metallic material with a high Seebeck coefficient;
  • Glass insulating material with a low thermal conductivity coefficient;
  • Placing the composite between two metal sheets makes it possible to obtain a thermocouple/Peltier module with a high electrical conductivity, high Seebeck coefficient and low thermal conductivity (obtaining electrical energy from thermal energy);
  • The temperature difference between the electrodes causes electrical voltage to appear;
  • The thermocouple operates at 300-600K.
