- Crystal engineering, coordination chemistry and structural studies, including X-ray structural analysis.
- Design, synthesis and characterization of new acylthioureas and their complexes with metal cations with d10electron configuration.
- Preparation and investigation of hybrid inorganic chains with a special focus on obtaining connections having close metal‧‧‧metal contacts (molecular wires).
- Studies on the effects of weak interactions (halogen, chalcogenide, metallophilic, layered and hydrogen) on the packing of particles in crystals.
