Biography

Hanna is a PhD student at the Doctoral School in Social Sciences in the discipline of Social Communication and Media Sciences at the Jagiellonian University and is employed as an Assistant at the Institute of Information Studies of the said university. She received her Master's degree from Jagiellonian University, where she studied Information Management at the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences. Her Bachelor's degree was obtained at the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, where she studied Information Science & Library Studies and also began her research path. Hanna's research focuses on knowledge, information management and the impact of well-served information in different formats on society. She is writing her PhD thesis on information management on air quality information in Polish agglomerations. Her research interests include information management, information ecology, library science, digital media, as well as digital footprints, mixed methodologies in communication and media sciences and Web3. She actively teaches students at the Institute of Information Studies, where she shares her knowledge and expertise. In addition to her teaching work, she is actively involved in academic work, taking part in scientific conferences, collaborating with scientists on interdisciplinary projects, as well as developing her scientific writing skills by publishing articles and chapters in monographs. In her free time, she collects interesting orchid species, participates in R&D hackathons [latest: the first EU TalentON in Leiden - 14-18.09.2022], and reads and visits tourist attractions in Poland.
