Biography
Michał Czubenko is a distinguished 2009 graduate of the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Informatics at Gdańsk University of Technology, specializing in the discipline of automatic control and robotics. Currently, he serves as an adjunct in the Department of Robotics and Decision Systems at the same institution. In 2012, he embarked on a three-month internship at Kingston University London, broadening his horizons in the field. With a profound interest in academia, he actively contributes to the scientific community. In 2015, he assumed the role of Vice-Chair of the Organizing Committee for the 12th International Conference on Diagnostics of Processes and Systems, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge in his domain. In 2017, he achieved a significant milestone, defending his dissertation titled "Anthropoid Model of Intelligent Decision System for Autonomous Units" with exceptional grades. In 2020 he was a recipient of Space and Autonomy award of the Polish Ministry of National Defence. In 2022, he also helped as co-chair with organization of the 15th International Conference on Diagnostics of Processes and Systems. From 2019 he actively participates in research grants. His research focuses on exploring the concept of qualia in computational models of emotions and developing a cognitive architecture called the Intelligent System of Decision-making. Moreover, he works on recognizing emotions in humans and dogs with artificial intelligence models, bridging the disciplines of artificial intelligence, robotics, and psychology. His academic works have been measured with a Hirsch index above 7 (depending on the source). Beyond his academic pursuits, he embraces a diverse range of interests. He finds joy in chess, skillfully strums the guitar, relishes hiking adventures, embraces the thrill of sailing, and immerses himself in the world of Starcraft.
