Biography
Michał Wróbel, Assistant Professor of Gdańsk University of Technology, computer scientist, a specialist in software engineering.
I graduated from the Faculty of Electronics Technical University of Gdansk in 2002 with a degree in Computer Science, with specialization in Software Engineering and Databases. Until 2006 I worked as system administrator in several companies, including CI TASK. Since 2006 I have been working at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics, GUT. I received PhD in Computer Science in 2011. PhD thesis concerned the problem of operating systems' security.
My research interests include human aspects of software engineering and IT systems security. Between 2013 and 2015 I was a member of the Densek project consortium. Project aimed to improve the security and resilience of smart energy grids against cyberthreats. Recently, in my studies I focus on the role of emotions in software development process. I'm trying to utilize the affective computing methods to recognize and influence software developers emotions. I participated, among others, in the following research projects: ERAAVG, AFFITS, AUTMON.
Between 2015 and 2017 I was deputy head of the Software Engineering department. I am the author and co-author of 40 scientific publications and the book "Szkoła systemu Linux" (Helion, 2007).
