Basic financial categories of non-public universities in 2010 (in PLN thousand)

Description

In 2010, non-public universities achieved a positive gross and net financial result. In nominal terms, the net financial result decreased compared to 2009 by 43.7%. It was lower than the net financial result of public universities by PLN 348.3 million. and amounted to PLN 148.1 million.

The financial result presented in the research data includes the university's gross financial result (profit or loss), which is the difference between total revenues and total costs incurred to obtain them, adjusted by the balance of extraordinary gains and losses. Extraordinary losses and gains are understood as the financial consequences of events occurring uniquely outside the ordinary activities of the university, in particular those of a random nature - often caused by the abandonment or suspension of a certain type of activity and settlement or remedial proceedings, and the net financial result (profit or loss) of the university, which is obtained by reducing the gross financial result by obligatory charges on the financial result. The main component of burdens on the financial result is income tax
