Description
Dataset presents the values of surface tension of trickling liquid sampled from three running biotrickling filters.
The results for following samples are provided:
- Sample 1: with no modification of liquid phase
- Sample 2: with the addition of silicone oil (1.5 % v/v)
- Sample 3: with the addition of sodium dodecylsulphate (0.24 g/L).
Samples were taken assuming the steady-state conditions within the investigated biotrickling filtration systems. The analysis of the surface tension of trickling liquid was performed with a KRÜSS Tensiometer K11 with Wilhelmy method using a rolled PL22 plate. The average value from 10 measurements for each sample are reported. The measurements were performed at 22 ± 2°C.
The data were collected during investigations performed in the project "Simultaneous treatment and energetic valorization of waste air from biological processing of municipal waste in the Baltic Sea Region", DEC-9/2022/IDUB/II.2/Sc, Gdansk University of Technology, grant under the Scandium - "Excellence Initiative - Research University" program.
