Evaluation of antimicrobial properties of thermomelt adhesives modified with zinc compounds

Description

The dataset contains the results of microbiological tests of thermomelt adhesives modified with zinc compounds, whose activity was assessed for their ability to reduce the number of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus strain, representing the Gram (-) and Gram (+) bacteria, respectively. The evaluation of antimicrobial properties of samples were made according to the quantitative ASTM E2149 method with slight modification. The obtained results confirmed the inhibitory effect of both types of bacteria in contact with samples containing zinc compounds, in particular zinc oxide. The results are presented in the form of photos of plates with cultures of the test and control samples, which were taken with the Nikon D7200 camera).
