Linear impedance of 10Na2O–60P2O5–30CaO glass measured with impedance spectroscopy method at low temperature region
Description
The linear electrical properties of 10Na2O–60P2O5–30CaO glass was measured by impedance spectroscopy method.
The composition of 10Na2O–60P2O5–30CaO (in mol%) was prepared by the conventional melt quenching technique. The reagents: NaH2PO4 (≥99.5% Sigma Aldrich Co., St. Louis, MO, USA), NH6PO4 (99 +% ACROS ORGANICS, Geel, Belgium), CaCO3 (99.9 +% ChemPUR GmbH,Karlsruhe, Germany), were thoroughly mixed in an agate mortar and pestle. Samples were first heat‐treated at 120–200 °C for 3 h, then at 500 °C for 1 h. Samples were finally heated to 1100 °C and held for 1 h in Al2O3 crucibles in an air atmosphere. Prepared glasses were annealed at 400 °C for 5 h and cooled to 50 °C for 10 h. The obtained samples had circular shapes with diameters from 10 to 15 mm and thicknesses from 2 to 2.8 mm. The exact composition of samples was checked with the use of SEM-EDS and wa sfound to be 7.7Na2O–56.9P2O5–32.6CaO–2.7Al2O3 in at%.
For the electrical measurements gold electrodes were evaporated at the preheated samples. Impedance measurements were carried out in the temperature range from 153 K to 423 K, in the frequency range from 10mHz to 1 MHz and with the ac voltage of 1 Vrms with Concept 40 broadband dielectric spectrometer.
