Description

This is the histopathological image of BREAST tissue sample obtained in Medical University Gdańsk and deposited in ZMDL-GUMED. The sample image was taken using: Pannoramic 250 3DHistech slide scanner (20x magnification) and saved to DICOM format.

Clinical description: Palpable tumor of right breast. Core needle biopsy: invasive lobular carcinoma of breast. History of chemotherapy.

Diagnosis: Lobular carcinoma, NOS

Result of the histopathological examination: Invasive lobular carcinoma of breast NHG2 (3+2+1: 0 mitoses/10 HPF). Skin of breast, nipple of breast and major pectoralis muscle with carcinoma infiltration. No response to chemotherapy. Lobular neplasia is present.
