Description

This data set presents the optical microscope measurements/ images of Miscanthus × giganteus (M×g) roots. The experiment was performed under work package 1: "Properties characterisation of two types of biochar", task D_RT: Phyto-analyses (stress response of plants on biochar amendments) in cooperation with Aarhus University. A short term pot experiment (8 weeks) was conducted with M×g planted in soil with wood and straw biochar amendments (1, 2.5, 5, 10, and 15%, v/v). Following the exposition plant biomass was collected, and randomly selected M×g roots were chosen for microscope examination. Delta Optical Generic Pro microscope with camera 3MP (Delta Optical, Poland) integrated with DLTCamViewer software was used for observation.

Project title: Energy BIOmass CULtivation on marginal soils enhanced with biochar amendments fertilized with by-product in order to reduce nutrients leaching (eBIOCOOL) (3/2022/IDUB/II.2/Sc)

Ver 1 includes images of M×g roots growing in control soil and soil amended with wood biochar.
