Description
Presented data are the result of research activity entitled „Multi-directional analysis of the maintenance of rainwater harvesting systems” conducted as a part of MINIATURA 7 competition. The research consisted of a comprehensive assessment of the quality of rainwater collected and stored in a rooftop harvesting system and then purified using inline filter with polypropylene or activated carbon filling.
Rainwater quality tests included physicochemical and microbiological analyses, particles sizes measurements with the laser granulometer, detection of specific metal ions (as a result of leaching from the core of the roofing material) and GC/MS analysis of selected organic substances (PAHs, phthalates and biocides), probably present in protective cover of the metal roof tiles, material of gutters and storage tank.
