Poverty rate in Poland in 2008-2016

Description

The poverty rate in Poland is also systematically falling. According to Eurostat statistics, poor households are considered to have incomes lower than 60% of the average household income in a given country.

A significant decline in the scope of poverty in the recent period has been observed especially among groups such as large families (with 3 and 4 or more dependent children), households with disabled people, inhabitants of rural areas and towns below 20 thousand. inhabitants and households with the head of a household with a low level of education. Despite the improvement in the situation, these groups are still among the most vulnerable to poverty.
