The AFM micrographs of austenitic stainless steel subjected to sensitization for intergranular corrosion
Description
The dataset contains atomic force microscopy (AFM) maps of topographic images of austenitic steel samples subjected to sensitization to the process of intergranular corrosion. Precipitations of carbides as well as other intermetallic phases can be observed and detected before the fragments of structures sensitized by improper thermal treatment are exposed to the corrosive environment.
The measurement results contained in the attached file were used in the work with the symbol doi: 10.1002/sia.5855
The files are in binary form, the contents are maps of various physical quantities in the two-dimensional spatial domain. The files can be accessed both with the Nova software included with NT-MDT microscopes and with the free Gwyddion software to be downloaded at http://gwyddion.net/.
