Description
The dataset contains the results of a single series of determinations of the antimicrobial properties against E. coli and S. aureus of polyethylene films containing the nanozinc filler.
Squares with a side of 4 cm were cut from the tested material. and sterillized sterilized under UV light (30 minutes on each side). Then 0.2 mL of inoculum was applied to each of the squares. Immediately after inoculation, materials marked "0 hr contact time" transferred to 10 mL of PBS solution and shaken 5 x 5 seconds using a vortex. Serial ten-fold dilutions and deep streaks were made on TSA. The plates were incubated in an incubator for 24 hours at 37 ° C. Other materials marked as "contact time 24 hours" incubated with the inoculum in an incubator for 24 h. at 37 ° C, and then the procedure for an exposure time of 0 hours was carried out for them. The test results show that the filler used in the production of polyethylene films does not have antimicrobial activity.
