Description
The dataset presents a result of measurements that are a part of immunity tests to conducted disturbances, induced by radio-frequency fields. The immunity tests were carried out on the mains cable of the ac adaptor PHILIPS DC power supply SBC 6654. Tests of immunity of electronic systems to conducted disturbances in the frequency range from 150 kHz to 230 MHz are performed under the requirements specified in the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards.
The equipment under test was PHILIPS DC power supply, type: SBC 6654/00, input parameters: 230 V AC / 50Hz, 6W and output parameters: 12 V DC, 200mA (Fig.1)
The source of the disturbance is an electromagnetic field coming from intended RF transmitters generating an RF signal, which is modulated with a 1 kHz sinusoidal tone at 80% depth. The normative test procedure was carried out in the frequency range starting at 150 kHz and incrementing in 1% steps up to at least 230 MHz. The integrated signal generator Teseq NSG 4070-45, equipped with a built-in 45 W class A power amplifier module, was used in the measurement setup. The coupling-decoupling network CDN M016 directly injects RF voltages into the cables under test. During the measurements, on the oscilloscope Rohde&Schwarz RTE 1102 the differences in the shape of the voltage waveform to the reference waveforms recorded with the RF signal generator turned off were being observed (Fig. 2). The oscilloscope is connected to the network via the artificial network Rohde Schwarz ENV432. The measurement process was controlled by the WIN 6000 software installed on a personal computer connected to the signal generator via the IEEE488 interface. The test set-up is shown in Fig. 3.
Immunity tests were carried out for three different RF voltage levels: 1 V, 3 V and 10 V.
The attached files contain oscillograms showing the voltage waveforms at the output of the AC adaptor that deviates the most from the reference waveform. Additionally, a table with the measurement results is included.
