Description
The main reasons for the negative consequences of demographic changes are: natural increase in the life span of the population, decline in fertility and emigration of unusual dimensions.
Demographic aging is a natural phenomenon in all countries. Hence, the governments of many countries adjust their health care systems and pension systems to the needs arising from these processes. The previously signaled increase in life expectancy will result in a dynamic and difficult to cover increase in the existing deficit of pension funds. According to the forecasts of the Social Insurance Institution, this deficit may increase from EUR 11 billion to as much as EUR 41 billion in 2050.
