The vast majority of these entities, ie 99.8%, belong to the sector of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. In 2014, the number of micro-enterprises amounted to 1.76 million, small - 59.2 thousand, medium-sized - 15.5 thousand. There were much fewer large enterprises - their total number amounted to 3.4 thousand. entities. It is worth noting that the number of enterprises in Poland is systematically growing, although the greatest differences, for natural reasons, were observed at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s.
