X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy studies of various carboxylic acids adsorption on aluminium alloys in alkaline media
Description
This dataset contains the results of high-resolution XPS studies obtained during evaluation of high corrosion inhibition efficiency of various carboxylic acids towards aluminium alloy 5754 in bicarbonate buffer pH=11.
The studied carboxylic acids were as follows: citric acid, maleic acid, DL-malic acid, DL-serine, succinic acid, DL-tartaric acid and tricarballylic acid.
The exposition duration of samples to electrolytic environment was 100 min. Each sample was exposed to corrosion inhibitor concentration of 4.5 mM and 20 mM. The analysis was performed using an Escalab 250Xi system (ThermoFisher Scientific, USA), equipped with a monochromatic AlKa source. More detailed information on this study may be found in the Electrochimica Acta article: 10.1016/j.electacta.2018.08.070
The dataset contains files in two formats: VGD - dedicated format to be used with ThermoFisher Avantage software and converted AVG text format.
