A model method of road investment assessment at the STEŚ stage, taking into account the principles of sustainable development throughout the road's life cycle
The aim of the project is to develop a road investment assessment methodology at the STEŚ stage for the selection of road route variants and design solutions as part of the development of the Multi-criteria Comparative Analysis (WAP). The project aims to achieve the following effects:
1) Preparation of guidelines for the development and conduct of a Multi-criteria Comparative Analysis (including the creation of a model WAP).
2) Development of tools (web application, software)
The tools should enable the introduction of assumptions / input data, carrying out calculations according to a standardized procedure and publication / printing of the results allowing to make a decision on the choice of the variant.
3) Development of a multimedia textbook for the implementation of a training cycle in the form of a distance learning course and validation of the substantive content and the form of content transmission along with the mechanism of certification of participation and obtaining competences.
The implementation of the project will allow to increase the competences of the GUT staff carrying out research tasks under the project. It will also enable the establishment of partner relations and exchange of experiences with partners - UG, PRz and PB, which will allow for the continuation of cooperation in the future (including in obtaining research grants). The implementation of the project will also enable the implementation of master's theses.

Probability of Vehicle Collision with a Road Safety Barrier
PublicationA well-designed and constructed road allows the driver to avoid encroachments into an area with obstacles in the road environment and to return safely to the carriageway. This is possible when there is an obstacle-free zone in the road environment or, in the absence of an obstacle-free zone, when a road safety barrier is used. This paper discusses the probability of a vehicle hitting a road safety barrier, assuming five sequences...
