Abstract
The digital generative methods open up new areas for exploration of formal and tectonic features, accentuate form’s ability to emerge and perform. They allow for automatic generation of variations of solutions, and digital production of “difficult” components of architectural forms using CNC technology.The paper deals with contemporary architectural explorations of complex , curvilinear surfaces in the context of generative modeling. It also points out the need changes in the content of architectural education.
