Zespół Katedry Analizy Nieliniowej i Statystyki
Research PotentialW Katedrze prowadzone są badania w trzech wiodących kierunkach. Pierwszy dotyczy zastosowania metod topologicznych i wariacyjnych w układach dynamicznych, w teorii równań różniczkowych zwyczajnych i cząstkowych oraz w teorii bifurkacji.

Współpracujemy z przemysłem z branż budowlanych i okołobudowlanych, wykorzystując wypracowane doświadczenie i wiedzę z zakresu materiałów konstrukcyjnych i budowlanych.

Positive solutions to second-order differential equations with dependence on the first-order derivative and nonlocal boundary conditions
PublicationIn this paper, we consider the existence of positive solutions for second-order differential equations with deviating arguments and nonlocal boundary conditions. By the fixed point theorem due to Avery and Peterson, we provide sufficient conditions under which such boundary value problems have at least three positive solutions. We discuss our problem both for delayed and advanced arguments α and also in the case when α(t)=t, t∈[0,1]....

Boundary conditions for non-residential buildings from the user’s perspective: literature review
PublicationBackground and objective: This paper aims to review the boundary conditions (B/C) in specific categories (energy, building use, and lighting) within non-residential buildings to pave the way to a better understanding of users’ requirements and needs of the built environment. For this paper, B/C are understood as unique preconditions, specific characteristics for use, determining specific features of buildings, enabling an accurate...

Impact of Boundary Conditions on Acoustic Excitation of EntropyPerturbations in a Bounded Volume of Newtonian Gas
PublicationExcitation of the entropy mode in the field of intense sound, that is, acoustic heating, is theoreticallyconsidered in this work. The dynamic equation for an excess density which specifies the entropy mode, has been obtained by means of the method of projections. It takes the form of the diffusion equation withan acoustic driving force which is quadratically nonlinear in the leading order. The diffusion coefficient isproportional...

A new hyperbolic-polynomial higher-order elasticity theory for mechanics of thick FGM beams with imperfection in the material composition
PublicationA drawback to the material composition of thick functionally graded materials (FGM) beams is checked out in this research in conjunction with a novel hyperbolic‐polynomial higher‐order elasticity beam theory (HPET). The proposed beam model consists of a novel shape function for the distribution of shear stress deformation in the transverse coordinate. The beam theory also incorporates the stretching effect to present an indirect...

Numerical Modelling of Forced Convection of Nanofluids in Smooth, Round Tubes: A Review
PublicationA comprehensive review of published works dealing with numerical modelling of forced convection heat transfer and hydrodynamics of nanofluids is presented. Due to the extensive literature, the review is limited to straight, smooth, circular tubes, as this is the basic geometry in shell-and-tube exchangers. Works on numerical modelling of forced convection in tubes are presented chronologically in the first part of the article....
