Pool boiling of water-Cu nanofluid on porous coated tube
PublicationPrzedstawiono wyniki pomiarów współczynnika przejmowania ciepła podczas wrzenia nanocieczy woda-Cu na poziomej rurce pokrytej aluminiową powłoka porowatą o grubości 0.15 mm i porowatości ok. 40%. Koncentracja nanocząstek wynosiła 0.01%, 0.1% oraz 1%. Badania wykonano dla trzech wartości ciśnienia wrzenia: 200 kPa, 100 kPa oraz 10 kPa.

Burnout Investigation of Small Diameter Tubes Immersed in Nanofluids
PublicationThis paper deals with research into pool boiling critical heat flux (CHF) of water–Al2O3, water–TiO2 and water–Cu nanofluids on horizontal stainless steel tubes. The experiments were conducted under atmospheric pressure. Nanoparticles were tested at concentrations of 0.001%, 0.01%, 0.1% and 1% by weight. Ultrasonic vibration was used in order to stabilize the dispersion of the nanoparticles. Although dispersants were not used to...

Model of heat transfer in the stagnation point of rapidly evaporating microjet
PublicationThe paper presents investigation into the single water microjet surface cooling producing evaporating film. Reported tests were conducted under steady state conditions. Experiments were conducted using the nozzle size of 70 and 100 mikrometer respectively. In the course of investigations obtained were experimental relations between heat flux and wall superheating. It was proved that the phenomenon is similar to that of pool boiling...

AUGMENTATION OF THE CRITICAL HEAT FLUX IN WATER-Al2O3, WATER-TiO2 AND WATER-Cu NANOFLUIDS
PublicationThe main aim of the proposed study is therefore recognition of the phenomena accompanying nucleate boiling crisis of selected nanofluids during boiling on horizontal tubes of various outside diameters. Of particular interest is impact of contact angle and tube diameter on the value of critical heat flux. The results obtained should give more light on the nature of nucleate boiling crisis and will serve as a basis for future theoretical...

Pool Boiling of Water–Al2O3 and Water–Cu Nanofluids Outside Porous Coated Tubes
PublicationThis paper deals with pool boiling ofwater–Al2O3 and water–Cu nanofluids on porous coated, horizontal tubes. Commercially available stainless-steel tubes having 10 mm outside diameter and 0.6 mm wall thickness were used to fabricate a test heater. Aluminum porous coatings 0.15 mm thick with porosity of about 40% were produced by plasma spraying. A smooth tube served as a reference tube. The experiments were conducted under different...
