Marek Blok in 1994 graduated from the Faculty of Electronics at Gdansk University of Technology receiving his MSc in telecommunications. In 2003 received Ph.D.  and in 2017 D.Sc. in telecommunications from the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics of Gdańsk University of Technology. His research interests are focused on application of digital signal processing in telecommunications. He provides lectures, laboratory classes and exercises in the field of digital processing and analysis of telecommunications signal, multirate signal processing and fundamentals of information systems. Until now he published more than 70 works, including 5 articles published in journals listed on JCR list and 1 monograph. He promoted 14 engineers and 11 masters. He participates in projects and research-development conducted in the department. He is currently the Head of the Teleinformation Networks Department at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics at Gdańsk University of Technology.
