Description
The dataset consists of calculated values of entropy of 75 000 intervals between consecutive heartbeats (RR intervals) for 54 patients with normal sinus rhythm (NSR). The original data were taken from PhysioNet Normal Sinus Rhythm RR Interval Database (cf. Goldberger A., Amaral L., Glass L., Hausdorff J., Ivanov P.C., Mark R., Mietus J.E., Moody G.B., Peng C.K., Stanley H.E., PhysioBank, PhysioToolkit, and PhysioNet: Components of a new research resource for complex physiologic signals. Circulation [Online], 2000, 101 (23), s. e215 – e220).
Each signal was cleared from potential artifacts by the following procedure: each RR interval that differs by more than 30% from the mean of the 6 previous samples was changed by that mean.
Permutation Entropy was computed for the length of the sliding windows D = 2, 3, …, 8. In addition, the means and standard deviations in the group for each D were computed.
The dataset constitute complementary material to the preprint by K. Tessmer „Application of entropy-based methods to distinguish healthy individuals with normal sinus rhythm from patients with congestive heart failure” 2021.
