Paweł Raczyński received the M.Sc.  degree in automatics and computer science from Gdańsk University of Technology, Gdańsk, Poland, in 1977. He has been with Electronics, Telecommunication and Informatics Faculty, Gdańsk University of Technology since 1977. In 1986 he received the Ph.D. degree from the same faculty. His research deals with the issues of construction of control systems and technical diagnostics, in particular diagnosis of the state of main pipelines with the use of autonomous robots inspection. He has authored or co-authored about 100 published reports, conference and journal articles. Many of the solutions developed together with a team have been implemented. He currently is a vice chairof the Department of Automatic Control and vice dean for education affairs of the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics Gdansk University of Technology.
