DevelopInG dIgiTAL monitorIng System for optimal conservation efforts

The aim of the project is to define the need for new methods for data collection of pollutants in the Baltic Sea and to determine the principles for the development of a new digital sensor network, which can follow the change in pollutants in real time over time and identify their sources. The project will form the basis for one or more follow-up projects where sensor systems will be developed and then tested at various locations in the Baltic Sea. The project will also develop principles for joint chemical monitoring via a scaled-up sensor network, adapted for the Baltic Sea region. Documentation intended to serve as a guide for other external stakeholders will be produced, regarding the system's functionality. The project includes communication with experts in pollution control & monitoring. In a conference, workshops and consultation with external expertise, we will also review other methods of data collection that have the potential to be applied in continuous monitoring systems.
