The aim of the preliminary research is to find a new compounds from the group of acridine and acridone derivatives with antifungal activity and to determine the possibility of their use as leading structures to obtain potential drugs. The project concerns research that will be an important starting point for further testing of the described therapeutic strategy. In the next project, a selected group of compounds will be used to synthesize their peptide derivatives to increase their ability to penetrate to the fungal cell. Understanding the relationship between the structure of the studied compounds and their activity will affect the development of fields of pharmaceutical sciences and mycology. The research will allow me to broaden my research skills and theoretical knowledge on the properties of acridine and acridone derivatives. In addition, the results of the research will be presented in international scientific journals, as well as in communications at national and international conferences.
