Influence of concentration on contact angle of water-Cu nanofluid on glass substrate

Abstract

In the paper the results of an experimental investigation of influence of nanoparticle concentration on contact angle of water-Cu nanofluid on glass substrate have been presented. Nanoparticles were tested at the concentration of 0.01%, 0.1%, and 1% by weight. In the present study copper was applied as nanoparticle while distilled, deionized water was used as a base fluid. The mean diameter of nanoparticle is estimated to be 50 nm according to the manufacturer (Sigma-Aldrich Co.).
