Abstract
The team of researchers at the Gdańsk University of Technology is currently developing a model of the multi-agent system (MAS_IT) that would aid the IT managers to find the most appropriate technology to the goals assumed. The knowledge is to be provided by experts and stored in the facts and rules bases. The responsibility of the verification process-on the input and query stages-is given to the ontology, making it to some extend responsible of the quality of acquired knowledge.In this paper the assumptions of ontology specifications is discussed. To better understand and develop the process of its creation and exploitation a few simple experiments (using distinctive ontology in the MAS_IT system) have been designed and described. The technology chosen to this example relates to the software project management. Further, in the conclusion, some premises to build a model of the ontology management model are stated.
