  • The structure of demand and its economic consequences for urban transport

The structure of demand for urban transport services, determined by the share of passengers entitled to free and reduced fares, is an important factor influencing its economic condition. The aim of this article is to present the results of research into the structure of demand for urban transport as well as its economic consequences. The article begins by considering the nature of the determinants and consequences of the public...

  • Method for Assessing Rail Transport Competitiveness in Poland and the United Kingdom

    Publication

    - Year 2015

Both in Poland and United Kingdom, as well as worldwide, railways have to compete with other modes of transport, and the rail industry seeks for possibilities of achieving a competitive advantage over them. Thus, there is a need for methods for assessment of rail transport competitiveness and detection of areas for improvement. This paper presents a method developed for the Polish regional transport market and verified according...

    - Rośliny Oleiste - Oilseed Crops - Year 2002

W pracy przebadano skład kwasów tłuszczowych oleju makowego z nasion maku niskomorfinowego (Michałko, Agat, Mieszko, Zambo, Rubin i Przemko) i wysokomorfinowego (Lazur). Do dalszych badań wybrano olej makowy odmiany Michałko ze względu na wysoką zawartość kwasu linolowego (72,8%), niską zawartość kwasu oleinowego (12,6%) i kwasu linolenowego (0,8%). Kwasy nasycone głównie palmitynowy (11,3%) mogą być usunięte w odrębnym postępowaniu....

    • K. Życzkowska

The topic of the course - Green Story - Free Time Space, joins green architecture and a place to spend free time - inside and outside – to read, to eat, to relax. The idea is to design green – to give back the greenery to the public square – to make a city space more friendly for users and more friendly to the environment.  You can design a story, to make a space more attractive. You can design a Green Story, to make people more...

  • HYBRID REDUCED MODEL OF ROTOR

In the paper, the authors describe the method of model reduction of a rotor system. The proposed approach enables to obtain a low order model including e.g. nonproportional damping or the gyroscopic effect. This method is illustrated using the example of a rotor system. First, a model of the system was built without gyroscopic and damping effects by using the rigid finite element method. Next, this model was reduced. Finally, two...

  • Automated Reduced Model Order Selection

This letter proposes to automate generation of reduced-order models used for accelerated -parameter computation by applying a posteriori model error estimators. So far,a posteriori error estimators were used in Reduced Basis Method (RBM) and Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) to select frequency points at which basis vectors are generated. This letter shows how a posteriori error estimators can be applied to automatically select...

    - Year 2014

A set of mobile agents is placed at different nodes of a n-node network. The agents synchronously move along the network edges in a collision-free way, i.e., in no round may two agents occupy the same node. In each round, an agent may choose to stay at its currently occupied node or to move to one of its neighbors. An agent has no knowledge of the number and initial positions of other agents. We are looking for the shortest possible...
