Vibrational Sum-Frequency Generation Activity of a 2,4-Dinitrophenyl Phospholipid Hybrid Bilayer: Retrieving Orientational Parameters from a DFT Analysis of Experimental Data
PublicationThe vibrational nonlinear activity of films of 2,4-dinitrophenyl phospholipid (DNP) at the solid interface is measured by sum-frequency generation spectroscopy (SFG). Hybrid bilayers are formed by a LangmuirSchaefer approach in which the lipid layer is physisorbed on top of a self-assembled monolayer of dodecanethiol on Pt with the polar heads pointing out from the surface. The SFG response is investigated in two vibrational frequency...

Density functional theory-based simulations of sum frequency generation spectra involving methyl stretching vibrations: effect of the molecular model on the deduced molecular orientation and comparison with an analytical approach
PublicationThe knowledge of the first hyperpolarizability tensor elements of molecular groups is crucial for a quantitative interpretation of the sum frequency generation (SFG) activity of thin organic films at interfaces. Here, the SFG response of the terminal methyl group of a dodecanethiol (DDT) monolayer has been interpreted on the basis of calculations performed at the density functional theory (DFT) level of approximation. In particular,...

A Model for Low Frequency Noise Generation in MOSFETs.
PublicationPrzedstawiono model generacji szumów małoczęstotliwosciowych tranzystora MOS. Model został użyty do symulacji szumów cienkotlenkowych tranzystorów MOS. Wyniki symulacji porównano z danymi pomiarowymi. Zaprezentowano sposób wykorzystania pomiarów szumów m.cz. do wyznaczania niektórych parametrów charakteryzujących tranzystory MOS.

Multiple output second-generation current conveyor utilizing high frequency output stage
PublicationIn this paper a multiple output second-generation current conveyor (MOCCII) is presented. The main advantage of the proposed general circuit architecture over a typical structure, well known in the literature, is the use of a high passband multiple output current mplifier block instead of cascaded current mirrors. It gives similar frequency responses for all the outputs of the current conveyor and also maintains simplicity of the...

Nonlinear generation of non-acoustic modes by low-frequency sound in a vibrationally relaxing gas
PublicationTwo dynamic equations referring to a weakly nonlinear and weakly dispersive flow of a gas in which molecular vibrational relaxation takes place. are derived. The first one governs an excess temperature associated with the thermal mode, and the second one describes variations in vibrational energy. Both quantities refer to non-wave types of gas motion. These variations are caused by the nonlinear transfer of acoustic energy into...

Koncepcja i symulacja polowa generatora o zmiennej częstotliwości. Zastosowanie w autonomicznych systemach elektroenergetycznych = Conception and field simulations of a variable frequency generator. Application for autonomous power generation system
PublicationStreszczenie angielskie: This paper covers a conception and simulation results for a brushless synchronous generator working with variable speed in an autonomous energy generation system (e.g. airplane power grid, hybrid vehicle, micro-CHP). The papers has two parts: presentation of the generator conception used in modern autonomous energy generation systems, and simulation results using filed model elaborated in Flux2D software....

Stability Enhancement of Grid-Connected Wind Power Generation System Using PSS, SFCL and STATCOM
PublicationThe stability related issues may occur in a power system due to disturbances in generating or loading conditions, especially in the presence of distributed generation (DG) based on renewable energy resources (RERs). This paper proposes a novel strategy for the stability enhancement of a wind power generation system (WPGS) by using a combination of three devices, namely, a power system stabilizer (PSS), resistive superconductor...

Numbers, Please: Power- and Voltage-Related Indices in Control of a Turbine-Generator Set
PublicationThis paper discusses the proper selection and interpretation of aggregated control performance indices values mirroring the quality of electrical energy generation by a turbine-generator set cooperating with a power system. Typically, a set of basic/classical and individual indices is used in energy engineering to ensure the mirroring feature and is related to voltage, frequency and active or reactive power deviations from their...

Total chromatic sum for trees
PublicationThe total chromatic sum of a graph is the minimum sum of colors (natural numbers) taken over all proper colorings of vertices and edges of a graph. We provide infinite families of trees for which the minimum number of colors to achieve the total chromatic sum is equal to the total chromatic number. We construct infinite families of trees for which these numbers are not equal, disproving the conjecture from 2012.
