Attitudes to tree removal on private properties in two Polish cities.
Open Research DataLarge cities are increasingly faced with declining urban tree cover and related problems, such as increased urban heat islands and flash floods. Reducing these phenomena increasingly has to rely on trees located on private property. However, to effectively engage private landowners on these issues, more attention must be paid to understanding their...

Phylogenetic trees of genus Oncidium Sw. based on analysis of DNA sequences
Open Research DataGenus Oncidium Sw. is widely regarded as a polyphiletic, and the taxonomic boundaries between him and such genera as Odontoglossum Kunth. or Miltonia Lindley remain blurred. The goal of the study was to determine the phylogenetic relationships within the genus Oncidium s.lato based on the DNA sequences analysis. The correlation between molecular data...

Attitudes to tree removal on private property in rural and urban Polish municipalities.
Open Research DataThe urban-rural divide is an important factor known to affect public opinion on issues related to environmental protection and management. The present data set allows for a deeper understanding of this issue with respect to policies dealing with tree removal on private property in two municipalities located in southern Poland: Racibórz (an urban municipality)...

Nanotubular oxide layer formed on helix surfaces of dental screw implants - SEM examination
Open Research DataThe samples used for the research had the shape of a helix with a metric thread, with their geometry imitating a dental implant. The oxide layer was produced by a standard electrochemical method in an environment of 1M H3PO4 + 0.3 % HF for 20 min, at a constant voltage of 30 V. The oxidized samples were analyzed with a scanning electron microscope.

Reflectance Measurements and iCone Calorimeter Burning Results of Charcoals Derived from Lake Żabińskie (North-Eastern Poland)
Open Research DataThe dataset presents the results of litter burning experiments using an iCone calorimeter to assess the flammability of the major tree species in the Lake Żabińskie catchment (NE Poland) and links this to the heat release during burning to understand the influence of fire and its effects on ecosystems. Samples of litter from Betula pendula, Pinus sylvestris,...

Data obtained by computation for X-ray imaging of grating with magnification factor equal 2 using oriented Gaussian beams
Open Research DataThe propagation of X-ray waves through an optical system consisting of grating and X-ray refractive lenses is considered. In this approach, the propagating wave is represented as a superposition of the oriented Gaussian beams. The direction of wave propagation in each Gaussian beam is consistent with the local propagation direction of the X-ray wavefront.
