Kinetics of the crosslinking reaction between genipin and chitosan solutions
PublicationThe kinetics of the chitosan crosslinking reaction with genipin was examined. The strong relationship was found between crosslinking agent concentration, chitosan concentration, temperature and gelling time. Data obtained will be used in the proper selection of optimal genipin concentration for crosslinking chitosan solutions.

Preparation and characterization of genipin cross-linked porous chitosan–collagen–gelatin scaffolds using chitosan–CO2 solution
PublicationNovel porous scaffolds composed of chitosan, collagen and gelatin were prepared by the multistep procedure involving final freeze-drying and characterized. To eliminate the need for residual acid removal from the material after drying, carbon dioxide saturation process was used for chitosan blend formulation.
