Evaluation Criteria for Affect-Annotated Databases
PublicationIn this paper a set of comprehensive evaluation criteria for affect-annotated databases is proposed. These criteria can be used for evaluation of the quality of a database on the stage of its creation as well as for evaluation and comparison of existing databases. The usefulness of these criteria is demonstrated on several databases selected from affect computing domain. The databases contain different kind of data: video or still...

Web-based GIS technologies dedicated for presenting semi-dynamic geospatial data
PublicationSieciowe technologie prezentacji danych przestrzennych przeżywają aktualnie rozkwit spowodowany między innymi spadającymi cenami sprzętu komputerowego. Wynikający z tego wzrost wydajności domowych i biurowych stacji roboczych pozwala na praktyczne zastosowanie czasochłonnych algorytmów wizualizacji i przetwarzania skomplikowanych danych rastrowych i wektorowych. Niniejszy artykuł omawia wybrane technologie sieciowej prezentacji...

Geospatial Coverage and Signal Quality Measurements of Terrestrial DAB+ Network in Northern Poland
PublicationModern signal coverage maps are prepared based on industry-standard radio propagation models, which take into account a number of parameters, including: type of antenna, distance from the transmitter, type of terrain, etc. However, such simulations are prone to location-specific inaccuracies, and should be verified with in-situ measurements. This paper presents results of a field test of a terrestrial DAB+ (Digital Audio Broadcasting...

Photoelectron-photoabsorption (PePa) database
PublicationIn this paper a recently launched Photoelectron-Photoabsorption Database is presented. The database was developed in order to gather all the photoelectron and photoabsorption spectra measured by various collaborators over the years as well as to ease the access to the data to the potential users. In the paper the main features of the database were described and its outline explained.
