Case Study NEB Atlas / part II - Autodesk Forma (formerly Spacemaker) / Battersea Power Station Development, London

Opis

The data presents the results of work on the analysis of contemporary neighbourhoods. The aim of this part of the research was to analysis housing estates already existed in various cities in Europe. The analyses ware done in real time with AI and powered for key factors such as sun hours, daylight potential, noise, wind, and microclimate. These data are obtainable by subsequent researchers and can be checked to verify conditions for specific locations.

This data presents a model for a fragment of the Battersea Power Station Development, London. The students made digital models based on the analysis of web-based data and conducted analysis in Autodesk Forma. You will find zip files, there are readme txt file and OBJ model file for each 12 projects. The readme txt includes coordinate reference along with the URLs linking to their Autodesk Forma project page. This URL is needed to access and collaborate the Forma Project. At the moment, there is no direct way of sharing the analyses and simulations outside of Autodesk Forma. When the URL is accessed, the authors will manually grant you the necessary permissions to collaborate on the project.

The dataset presents work of students at the Faculty of Architecture, Gdansk University of Technology. The research work was coordinated by Justyna Martyniuk-Pęczek, PhD., D.Sc., Architect and was conducted. Financial support of these studies from  Gdańsk University of Technology by the 23/1/2022/IDUB/III.4c/grant under the Technetium Talent Management Grants entitled "Investigating the potential of structures of residential neighbourhoods in the context of the search for urban planning initiatives for sustainable development" - ‘Excellence Initiative - Research University’ program is gratefully acknowledged.

These data were contributed into the research work on the grant "Task 70 - Low Carbon, High Comfort Integrated Lighting" carried out under the Technology Collaboration Programs - (TCP) - Solar Heating and Cooling (SHC) at the International Energy Agancy- IAE. (Duration:January 2023 — June 2026).
