Biography
Anna Brillowska-Dąbrowska, born in 1971 in Gdańsk, Poland, graduated in 1996 in Biotechnology from the Faculty of Chemistry, Gdańsk University of Technology (GUT). In 2001 she got her PhD, in 2013 became a DSc (habilitation). She was employed in 2004 as a researcher in Statens Serum Institut in Denmark. Currently she is an Associate Professor (adiunkt) in the Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Microbiology and Vice-dean for Education of the Faculty of Chemistry, GUT.
Scientific activity of Brillowska-Dąbrowska is focused on molecular diagnostics and typing of fungi, and research on mechanism of fungal resistance to antimycotics. Publication record of Brillowska-Dąbrowska covers 29 articles in peer-reviewed international scientific journals. She served as a reviewer in PhD and habilitation procedures and was a leader in 3 research grants. Publications of Brillowska-Dąbrowska have been cited over 300 times by other authors, with HI = 11. Brillowska-Dąbrowska has been a supervisor of 1 young scientist who got her PhD and is currently a supervisor of further 4 PhD students. In the 2001-2002 period Brillowska-Dąbrowska was the Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at Statens Serum Institut in Copenhagen, Denmark.
