    Novel ferrocenyl-containing benzothiazole derivatives were synthesised in moderate yields by one-pot α-amidoalkylation of ferrocene. The reaction conditions were critically evaluated and the crystal structure of one of the amidoalkylated ferrocenes was resolved.
