The XRD diffraction patterns of as-prepared (La0.3Sr0.6Ce0.1)0.9Me0.1Ti0.9O3-δ (Me= Co, Fe, Ni) materials

Description

The  (La0.3Sr0.6Ce0.1)0.9Me0.1Ti0.9O3-δ (Me= Co, Fe, Ni) materials were synthesized via the Pechini method. First, the reagents in the form of nitrates were weighed and dissolved in DI water. In another beaker, a stoichiometric amount of titanium (IV) butoxide (Ti(OBu)4) was mixed together with reagent-grade ethylene glycol (EG), and citric acid (CA) in a molar ratio equal to 2:1 until a white slurry was obtained. The water-based solution was then added to a titanium precursor mixture and stirred at 80C until fully dissolved. After this, the solution was heated to 150C and condensed until gel was obtained. Next, the gel was transferred into an alumina crucible and calcined for 1 h at 400C, then for 1 h at 600C and finally at 1200C for 12 h under an air atmosphere.
