Description
The data includes video traffic data registered with 8 video cameras at exit and entry lanes of the Gdansk Poludnie interchange within S6 expressway in Poland (interchange of expressway S6 and S7), located in the Tri-City Agglomeration . The data covers the two days: 4.08.2020 and 6.08.2017 (expressway S6).
Tricity Bypass Road (expressway S6) is the eastern end segment of the Polish National Road No. 6 which runs along the Baltic coast between the cities of Szczecin and the Tricity Metropolitan Area, comprising the cities of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia. The expressway runs North-South along the edge of the metropolitan area and constitutes a key element of the transportation system in the area.
The video cameras installed on the roads S6 (3 cameras) registered vehicles along the entire length of the section. Cameras were mounted on 5-7 meter high masts.
Collected data include:
- Expressway S6 entry lane, direction EN: 6:00 – 7:00 and 14:00 - 20:00, location: main road, min 1752 veh/h, max 3357 veh /h, PHV: 9.9 - 17.5% (point no. 1601).
- Expressway S6, exit lane NW: 6:00 – 18:00, location: main road, min 655 veh/h, max 3577 veh /h, PHV: 1.0 - 5.1% (point no. 1602).
This study is part of MOP-DZ research project: RID2B - Modern methods of calculating the road capacity and assessment of traffic conditions of roads outside municipal agglomerations, including expressway roads, financed by the National Centre for Research and Development (Poland) and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways
