SimLE SimBa: Start eksperymentalnych rakiet sondujących z ładunkiem naukowym na międzynarodowych konkursach konstruktorskich.
In 2017, we set up a rocket construction team. Each year, we focused on improving existing solutions to reach the current sixth iteration of the rocket, which allows us to start again in international construction competitions such as the Spaceport America Cup (SAC). Participation in the competition will allow you to use the experience and enable further development of the design. We present the results and experience gained in competitions and in preparation for competitions at conferences, and as part of this activity we participated in, among others, at the International Astronautical Congress 2022, where we presented a number of our articles in the field of rocket projects.
The aim of the SAC competition is to design, build, fly and safely land a rocket with a scientific payload. The categories of the competition provide for a division due to the construction and type of engine as well as two different height ceilings. It is important to develop the recognition of Polish design teams and establish international cooperation based on our successes. Thanks to this, we create new projects that develop the space sector and influence the recognition of Polish design teams on the international arena. We plan to achieve results that will allow us to present more and more advanced solutions and participate in more prestigious categories, which will directly translate into the possibilities and research perspectives implemented at the University. Participation in such recognizable and globally valued competitions and the conferences that follow them is a huge field for expanding perspectives and cooperation.
