PublicationThe Sturmian expansion of the generalized Dirac--Coulomb Green function [R.\/~Szmytkowski, J.\ Phys.\ B 30 (1997) 825; erratum 30 (1997) 2747] is exploited to derive a closed-form expression for the magnetizability of an arbitrary discrete state of the relativistic one-electron atom with a point-like, spinless and motionless nucleus of charge $Ze$. Magnetic Signature Description of Ellipsoid-Shape Vessel Using 3D Multi-Dipole Model Fitted on Cardinal Directions
PublicationThe article presents a continuation of the research on the 3D multi-dipole model applied to the reproduction of magnetic signatures of ferromagnetic objects. The model structure has been modified to improve its flexibility - model parameters determined by optimization can now be located in the cuboid contour representing the object's hull. To stiffen the model, the training dataset was expanded to data collected from all four cardinal...

Magnetically sensitive fiber probe with nitrogen-vacancy center nanodiamonds integrated in a suspended core
PublicationEfficient collection of photoluminescence arising from spin dynamics of nitrogen vacancy (NV) centers in diamond is important for practical applications involving precise magnetic field or temperature mapping. These goals may be realized by the integration of nanodiamond particles with optical fibers and volumetric doping of the particles alongside the fiber core. That approach combines the advantages of robust axial fixation of...

Magnetic photocatalysts for water treatment
PublicationThe concept of magnetic photocatalysts with separation function requires ferromagnetic material with high magnetic susceptibility to an external magnetic field to enable recycling of composite nanoparticles. Currently, much attention is devoted to functionalization of photocatalyst using MFe2O3, where M =Fe, Zn, Co, Mn. However direct contact between photocatalyst and magnetic iron oxide particles leads to photodissolution of iron...

Plasma is assumed to be an ideal gas with a finite electrical conductivity permeated by a magnetic filed orthogonal to the trajectories of gas particles. the excitation of non-wave modes in the filed of intense magnetoacoustic perturbations, i.e., magnetoaciustic heating and streaming, is discussed. The analysis includes a derivation if instantaneous...

Magnetic-dipole-to-electric-quadrupole cross-susceptibilities for relativistic hydrogenlike atoms in some low-lying discrete energy eigenstates
PublicationIn this paper we present tabulated data for magnetic-dipole-to-electric-quadrupole cross-susceptibilities (χ_{M1→E2}) for Dirac one-electron atoms with a pointlike, spinless and motionless nucleus of charge Ze. Numerical values of this susceptibility for the hydrogen atom (Z = 1) and for hydrogenic ions with 2 \leqslant Z \leqslant 137 are computed from the general analytical formula, recently derived by us (Stefanska, 2016), valid...

Magnetic-field-induced electric quadrupole moments for relativistic hydrogenlike atoms: Application of the Sturmian expansion of the generalized Dirac-Coulomb Green function
PublicationWe consider a Dirac one-electron atom placed in a weak, static, uniform magnetic field. We show that, to the first order in the strength of the external field, the only electric multipole moments, which are induced by the perturbation in the atom, are those of an even order. Using the Sturmian expansion of the generalized Dirac-Coulomb Green function we derive a closed-form expression for the electric quadrupole moment induced...
